After searching somehow fruitlessly for a fitting title track that would match that of Faulty Towers I gave up with a resounding air of failure. Only during a geography class tangent did I happen to come across the following few videos, as far as I can tell the music is not widely known or even subject to serious copyright sanctions, give em' a listen and imagine sweeping panning shots of Studowthy's Stately Estate with the man himself frowning aristocratically over it all:

Some Title Topics

So we struggled to come up with some ideas for what Studworthy would do in his antics. Well after you said about him doing a cookery show I remembered that this is our own parody so why not have him do his own version of every kind of programme and take the piss? So that could be a cookery show, a one time wildlife documentary and like have him do his own crappy stand-up which he thinks is amazing.

I think it would be hilarious, just parody every kind of genre. I think its a long shot in terms of production so it would be later on but I spose this is for whenever we run out of material..

New Name - Update

Great idea for a first name, however, I think his initial should spell something, and that something should be amusing in some way... so how about; Percival Ramesses Arkwright Thaddeus Studworthy (PRATs) or Tarquin Wathrington Augustus Timpson Studworthy (TWATs) etc. Also, to really up the class factor, he needs some form of issue, such as 'III' or 'Esq.'

First Name?

How does Thadius sound? "Lord Thadius Studworthy" sounds catchy!... I dunno just thought I'd throw it out there!

Music

I don't really know what music to have for Studworthy... Well I do but that's because there are absolutely loads we could use. I guess what I meant to say was it's difficult choosing from so many different choices. Any slow piece of classical music in a major key with a small number of instruments, maybe a piano and some strings, would fit it nicely. It's just finding the "right" tune, that piece of music that just has that pompous feeling but not too serious because after all this is supposed to be a comedy.

The absolute perfect piece for the introduction would have been this:

It's posh but at the same time its just so funny! Perfect! Unfortunately its very popular, everyone knows it and it's not our own original thing so it may not work... But just listen to it and picture Studworthy going on about how amazing he is.

A piece for his background music also needs to be thought about. The piece you showed me Cook was very good. Cut out the start and most of the last half and you've got it. Fantastic soundtrack by the way.

The Criminals Behind It All

Here we have Lord Studworthy himself (aka Christopher James Cook) who is the other half in this madness. Picture this man in a posh dressing gown or some other form of rich, lordly like clothing and you have our guy. Luckily this twat has a very big ego so he lends himself to the character well...

Who is Studworthy?

Imagine if you will an image of a man sat in his armchair, pipe and pocket watch at hand, by a fireplace in a manor house going on about how fantastic he is and how he should be worshipped, maybe a few stories and rants here and there, and you've got Studworthy himself. Drunk on nothing but his own ego and money (or however much it is he has we haven't really decided yet) all this for pure comedic effect.

The idea? To possibly write a comedy or maybe a set of episodes to be filmed based around our very own Lord Studworthy. It basically is just our own piss take of rich, pompous and high-up people which we think is a nice refreshing idea when you compare to people on Youtube for example. Good stuff of course but there's just something about seeing a rich, pompous idiot make a fool out of himself!  It may not be finished, may get stopped by an obstacle or possibly may not even be given the opportunity to be physically made but I think it's an idea that could have a lot of potential and could just be a nice, refreshing little something to laugh at. Even if it makes just the one person laugh I would be happy.

In all seriousness, a term not often used by us here, this blog will serve as a space where ideas can be thrown about, plans can be made and links can be shared as well as many a joke. All linked to the creation of this crazy idea myself and a certain fool concocted... Well, more of a character should I say.
